Details from Dan Rau:

Here are some photos from the Saluki Masters Swim Meet this past Sunday. Due to alot of busy people, only Karl and I swam today. But the meet was great and Madison and Chelsea got to see what it was like on "the other side" by timing during the whole meet. We had alot of fun and I placed 1st in all of my events (50 - fly, back, breast and free as well as my 100 IM) swimming in the 35 - 39 age group.

Karl swam great as well placing 1st in his 50 free, 50 fly, 50 breast and 100 IM. However, he did place second in the 50 back but the guy he had to swim against was awesome. Also, Karl swam in the 40-44 age group.

You got to like the wing span on those fly strokes but I need to keep my head down.

The other photo is of me and Karl with our "take" and the other two I like to call the start of the IM and the finish of the IM. The people in Carbondale were great and I look forward to going back next year in better shape.

Also, if anyone else wants to come out and swim they should contact Coach Steve to get into the Master's program. Anyone of any age can join.

There were 2 world records set at this meet by a fella who is 75 years old. It was neat to be a part of something like that.

Dan

P.S. Madison Rau took the photos. Most of the action stuff was taken off of the video that she took.
